Who we are looking for:
Laguna Games is the developer of Crypto Unicorns, the #1 NFT project on Polygon and one of the fastest-growing games. We are looking to hire an experienced Engineering Lead who is self-motivated, goal-orientated, and a strong team player to lead our smart contract and blockchain development work. This role requires previous experience leading engineering teams but does NOT require previous work in blockchain or smart contract development. We are interested in someone who can lead while we get you up to speed on the core technology.

This position will report to our Technical Director and oversee both internal and external smart contract developers. You will work and innovate at the forefront of Web3 gaming, bringing together unique technologies to deliver a new kind of gaming experience.
What you’ll do:
Lead and manage the company’s smart contract development.
Manage and grow a team of smart contract developers.
Develop, test, and deploy new smart contracts that define gameplay.
Gain industry-leading knowledge in smart contract development, security, and deployment.
Work with product and design to enhance game loops with web3 economics.
Keep smart contracts in-sync with game mechanics.
Monitor the ongoing health of our smart contracts and ensure their security.
Build and maintain core smart contract technologies.
Support metrics reporting and business insight.
Advance the state-of-the-art smart contracts through research and consultation with industry leaders.
Requirements:
Minimum 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, working on multi-discipline teams.
3+ years in a leadership role managing a team of engineers.
Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Services.
Experience with SQL or NoSQL stores (MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, etc).
Strong problem solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
Clear, concise, and transparent communicator - both written and verbal.
Be a self-motivated team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Ability to self-manage when given prioritized goals and objectives.

Who we are looking for:
Laguna Games is looking to hire a build & tools engineer to join our growing engineering organization! This position will report to our Director of Technology in San Francisco and be a critical part of our global team. Your initial mission at Laguna Games will be the end to end management of our build pipeline.
What you’ll do:
Manage continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
Support builds and tools against multiple platforms and environments.
Manage and document build machine environments.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and communicate issues to the development team.
Requirements:
4+ years game industry or related programming experience, ideally supporting a Game as a Service.
Experience defining, implementing or improving continuous integration and deployment workflow processes.
Knowledge working with a major CI tool, such as; GoCD, Jenkins, TeamCity.
Development experience with a major client game engine, such as; Unity, Unreal.
Experience working with an internal deployment tool, such as; HockeyApp, Testflight, Crashlytics Beta.
Programming experience with one of the following languages: C#, Ruby, Obj-C, Java.
Knowledge working with a major release platform, such as; iOS, Google Play, Steam, MS.
Experience with Git, branching, and merge strategies.

Who we are looking for:
Laguna Games is looking for an experienced Technical Artist to join our growing global organization. This position is best fit for an extremely detail oriented individual with proven experience working in the fast based world of mobile gaming as a service. Your mission will be the timely integration of art assets into our client builds effectively bridging our art and engineering teams.
What you’ll do:
Work closely with team leads including our Art Producer, Technical Director, and Product Director
Research, define and advise on methods and tools prior to and during production
Develop and maintain art production workflow/pipeline
Understand game engine limitations and collaborate on creative solutions to meet challenging artistic visions
Mentor artists in chosen methods, optimizations and tools during production
Troubleshoot, debug, and firefight technical issues
Write scripts and tools to aid Art team
Assist in producing 3D elements and shaders
Requirements:
4+ years in the gaming industry with at least 2 years experience as a Technical Artist on a shipped mobile title.
Strong experience working with Unity
Understanding of modern 2D & 3D art pipelines
Prior experience with C#
Experience in Tools programming/scripting
Broad knowledge of shaders, optimizations and workflows
Proficiency in Maya, Unity, and Photoshop
